  • SPECIAL GRANTS

    Allocations Partners are invited to apply for the following special grant opportunities:

    Core Partners - Based on the findings of  Atlanta’s 2024 Pulse study, conducted by the Jewish Federation of North America, the Core Partner Committee seeks to fund innovative projects that address one or more of the following themes:
    - Strengthening the aging community
    - Supporting and empowering educators
    - Engaging un- and under-engaged Jews
    - Helping individuals navigate and identify meaningful connections within the Jewish community
    Proposed projects must be developed in collaboration with another Jewish agency and demonstrate a new or innovative approach for the organization.

    Domestic Partners - Following October 7, studies show that there is a "Surge" of previously under-engaged Jews looking for community engagement and connection. The Domestic Allocations Committee is seeking to fund projects up to $50,000 that respond to this surge by engaging populations not previously served by the organization. 
    Projects must be taking a new or innovative approach for the organization.

    Global Partners - The Global Committee of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta invites you to apply for an additional one-time only funding opportunity. This grant is for a special project focused on providing relief efforts to Ukrainians or those impacted by the war in Ukraine. This grant is in addition to any resources you currently receive through the Allocations process and will be considered separately from your allocation application.

  • Allocations Special Grant

    The Allocations Committees of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta invite you to apply for an additional one-time only funding opportunity. This grant is for a special project which is in addition to any resources you currently receive through the Allocations process and will be considered separately from your organization's Allocations application.Each grant portfolio is looking to fund 1-2 projects for a total between $10,000-$50,000 that address one of the identified themes. Please select your organization from the list below to see the themes for this year's special grant.
  • Global Partners - Ukraine Emergency Fund Grant

    The Global Committee of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta invites you to apply for an additional one-time only funding opportunity. This grant opportunity is for up to $50,000 for a special project focused on providing relief efforts to Ukrainians or those impacted by the war in Ukraine.   • JAccess Funding Application

    JAccess (formerly Jewish Abilities Atlanta) invites Jewish community partners to apply for grant funding ranging from $10,000-$20,000. This one-year JAccess grant will support community partners in launching projects that create more inclusive and accessible communities for people with disabilities. Applications due March 3, 2025. Through strategic investment in partner programs, support of new ideas, and innovative programming and deep relationship building, JTeen is committed to meeting the needs of teens, their parents, and the Jewish educators and professionals serving them.

  • JTeen Prototype Grant - Application for Funding

    Want to try something different for the first time? Or expand something that was successful last year? JTeen is offering Prototype Grants of up to $5,000 to help you to broaden your reach to teens and/or deepen your impact. Let us help you innovate! A Prototype Grant project can be the first time you’ve developed this project or a new way of thinking about an existing project. We aim to be a partner throughout the process, offering guidance, resources, and connections. JTeen will be doing two rounds of Prototype Grant applications for the 2025-2026 school year.   • JTeen Large Scale Grant - Application for Funding

    JTeen (formerly JumpSpark) is Federation’s hub of engagement for the Atlanta Jewish teen ecosystem.   • JLearn BOOST Grants - Application for Funding

    "Building On Our Strengths Together" Micro-Grants of $1,500 - $5,000 are available for part-time supplemental Jewish educational programs (Pre-K-8th) to grow and enhance nascent educational programs. Grants are intended to help creative ideas move from the pilot phase to model status. Sometimes all it takes to transform programs from "good" to "great" is a little BOOST!   • JLearn Supporting Excellence in Education in Day Schools (SEEDS) Grant

    Each day school is eligible to apply for one SEEDS Grant per academic year. Grants will cover up to 66% of program expenses (up to a max of $10,000).  Schools are encouraged to collaborate and develop joint school proposals (involving at least two schools). Collaborative grants will cover up to 80% of program expenses (up to a maximum of $12,000 per school).   • JInnovate Renewal Grant Application

    Thank you for applying for a renewal grant from JInnovate.We look forward to continuing to partner with you in building a stronger Jewish community. JInnovate accelerates Jewish innovation by investing in transformative, creative, scalable, and community-driven projects thatreimagine Jewish life in Atlanta. Our goal as an incubator for new ideas in our community is to act as a catalyst to stimulate innovation and create a pipeline of successful new organizations that help impact our growing community.
  • JInnovate provides an average of $25,000 in funding to support the incubation of Atlanta's new ideas.

    A few areas of impact that we are looking to fund are (but are not limited to):

    • Diverse and inclusive Jewish Engagement;
    • Mental, emotional, and social wellbeing;
    • Jewish ritual and spiritual life;
    • Delivery of social services and justice engaging the
    • Jewish community.
    • Each project/initiative or program that we fund needs to show intentional Jewish engagement through a Jewish lens. 

    Along with funding, the JInnovation provides access to our partners at Catchafire and Alloy Foundation. Through these partnerships, we provide our grantees with skilled volunteers, services, and supports needed to deliver transformational impact to the communities they serve.

    Catchafire provides this through an easy-to-use platform and services that empower nonprofits by enabling them to access expertise and guidance in a wide variety of areas critical to their ability to thrive, including: 

    • Financial Management;
    • Program Development and Evaluation;
    • Design and Creative Services;
    • Leadership Development and Coaching,
    • Marketing and Communications;
    • Technology and Web Development.

    Through our partnership with Alloy Foundation, JInnovate  is excited to help our Grantees establish a pathway to creating a philanthropy strategy with the support of a grant writer and philanthropy advisor.
